Flawless in Five Review
This is a completely honest review of Beautycounter’s flawless in five. I tried all of the products, purchased with my own money, and I will tell you which ones I loved and which ones were kind of a flop for me personally.
Disclosure: I am a Beautycounter consultant and will receive a commission if you purchase products through my link.
Get safer products into the hands of everyone
That’s Beautycounter’s mission in a nutshell and I couldn’t agree more! I’ve been using their products on and off for about 5 years now (I started out with their sunscreen) and this mission-driven company continues to amaze me with their high-performing products and dedication to lobbying for better, safer, cleaner beauty. It’s also female-founded which is another bonus in my book!
Just to put everything in context and if you’re new here – I’m super duper into clean beauty and you will only find healthy beauty products in my makeup bag. Some of my favorite brands aside from Beautycounter are RMS, Ilia and Gressa. Basically, I’m not a novice when it comes to clean beauty!
Back to Beautycounter – I’ve been so into their products lately that I decided to up my membership to “consultant” status, which means I get 25% off of all products plus I can sell them to others and build a team of consultants (if I choose to). Honestly, I’m just jazzed for the 25% off, but the rest does sound great.
I know a lot of people are turned off by the direct selling approach, but I don’t mind it at all. I love supporting my friends and their businesses! I am more likely to buy products from a friend who’s educating me and personalizing the experience to me than I am from the random girl at Sephora.
It’s also great to be involved with a community of women who have the same interests and values as me. I think that’s my favorite part.

Anyway, let’s get down to business. I purchased the flawless in five because I wanted to try the concealer, mascara and dew skin tinted moisturizer and it just made sense to grab them all in a bundled discount with three other products.
Flawless in Five options
Here are the options to choose from for your personalized flawless in five:
1. Skin Twin Foundation or Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
2. Skin Twin Creamy Concealer
3. Satin Powder Blush
4. Brow Pencil or Brow Gel
5. Think Big Mascara
6. Lip Gloss
Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
I chose the Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Fair. I was so excited to try this product because I was running out of my Juice Beauty CC Cream and I’ve been wanting to try it for a while.
I did not like it at first. It went on a little thick and I felt like I had a white cast to my face. This product is spf 20 and has zinc oxide in it so that was to be expected. I wasn’t crazy about how it felt on my skin, but after wearing it all day my skin felt smooth and almost like I had no makeup on. That’s always a bonus in my book. I was really impressed with how good my skin felt all day long.
When I used it a second time, I realized it’s not a white cast, it’s just a lighter shade than I need (mommy brain?) I called Beautycounter and they are letting me exchange it for the next shade up which is Light. Their customer service is definitely top-notch!
Skin Twin Creamy Concealer
I picked the concealer in the shade Light 1. I was not a fan of their old concealer so I was pretty skeptical going into this. I absolutely love the texture – it really is creamy!
I love it for covering up blemishes and redness, but it didn’t work so well for my dark circles. I need more of a color-correcting concealer for that area, so I will stick with my RMS “un” cover-up in the shade 11.5, which has a pinkish hue to it.
Satin Powder Blush
I chose the shade Nectar for the blush and I love it! It’s a peachy pink shade and so gorgeous. It’s really pigmentated so a little goes a long way. There’s really not much to say other than it’s a beautiful high-performing blush!
Color Define Brow Pencil
I picked the brow pencil in the medium shade. It’s decent – don’t love it, don’t hate it. I do prefer my thrive causemetics brow pencil because it’s a little creamier, but the spoolie brush on the Beautycounter brow pencil is awesome (if you’re into that kind of thing!)
Think Big All-in-One Mascara
This is a newer release from Beautycounter. The other mascara they have is less than stellar. But this one…omg…so good!
It glides on, doesn’t clump, doesn’t flake off or run all over your under-eyes.
I am so in love with this mascara! It just rolls right onto your eyelashes. One of the most amazing things about using this mascara is that it’s actually good for your lashes!
Beyond Gloss Lip Gloss
I chose the shade Bare Shimmer and you guys, it’s so good!! It stays on for a really long time and gives the perfect amount of shimmer and gloss. It has ingredients that are good for your lips and a hint of vanilla. I love this product!
Final thoughts on the Flawless in Five
This is my wearing the flawless in five with no filter. Sorry about the wet hair, but I like to do my makeup before drying my hair!
I am giving this set a big thumbs up. The products are super high-performing and I love that they are actually good for your skin! I can see myself using these products combined with my favorite RMS Beauty products every day.
I’m excited to try more products from Beautycounter. I have a few of their eyeshadow palettes and their bronzer in the shade Dune (love it!) If you want to try them out for yourself you can check out the Flawless and Five and their other products here!
