Chocolate Chip Energy Balls
Energy balls (or bites – whatever you prefer!) are the perfect snack for an afternoon boost of energy or late morning hunger pains.
You could even skip breakfast and have a few of these energy balls instead!
Adding only three drops takes these from average to over the moon delicious!
Have you ever added Wild Orange Essential Oil to a recipe? I add it to juices and smoothies regularly – it’s great for your immune system and extremely cleansing to the body.
I adapted the recipe from doTERRA’s power bites recipe and tweaked the ingredients a bit.
My version is vegan and gluten-free and packed with goodness.
Almond Butter makes up the bulk of the recipe and y’all know I LOVE almond butter (but you can always substitute with your favorite nut butter of course).

Chia Seeds add an extra punch of nutritional power to the recipe. These little nutrient-dense seeds are a great source of Omega-3 fat which equals brain health. They have lots of fiber which helps to balance blood sugar and will give you a feeling a fullness, which means you will be so satisfied with just one or two energy balls. Perfection!
Raw Coconut Nectar adds a little sweetness to the recipe. I love using this as a sweetener because it actually retains the health benefits of the coconut! So you are actually getting a dash of nutritional value from this sweetener as opposed to refined sugar which has zero health benefits.
I have used raw honey in the past, but I wanted this recipe to be completely vegan and I actually like the taste of the energy balls with raw coconut nectar better!
Extra Dark Chocolate Chips make an excellent addition. If you love the chocolate -nut combination, then you will totally dig these energy balls.
I hope you enjoy these energy balls as much as my family and I do!
