Six Essential Oil Recipes Every Mama Need

Starting out with essential oils can be a bit overwhelming. It definitely took me a while to get into a routine and figure out which essential oil recipes are must-haves for every day and which recipes I need to keep on the back burner in case an emergency comes up.
These are the six essential oil roller blends I pretty much use on the daily (between me and my kids). I love making rollerballs because they are so easy to use! You just need some pretty rollerballs, fractionated coconut oil and of course, essential oils.
If you already have essential oils, then you rock! If you don’t you can pick up some (at wholesale cost!) from my favorite company, doTERRA.
This is the BEST enrollment kit to get started with because you will get TEN essential oils and blends that are amazing for beauty and wellness. I still use these ten oils on a daily basis, they are basically my medicine cabinet!
When you buy this kit you will become a wholesale member which means you can always buy your essential oils (THE BEST!) at 25% off retail. No monthly obligations. Of course, feel free to email me if you have any questions or shoot me a message on Instagram.
Another perk of buying this kit is you will get personal help from me (woo hoo!) on how to best use your essential oils. I’ve been using essential oils for over five years and my family and I have never been healthier. It was the best decision I ever made!
Let’s get into the six must-have essential oil recipes, shall we?!
Each image shows the essential oils I use in the blend. How much you want to add is up to you. Refer to this dilution chart below for recommended amounts. Safety first!
So if there are FOUR essential oils in the roller and I am using it on my kids (all under 11) I will put about 2-3 drops of each essential oil, give or take.
If I am using it for myself and there are FOUR essential oils in the recipe, I will put about 10 drops of each oil.
For each roller I make, I add the essential oils FIRST and then fill the rest with fractionated coconut oil.
Immune Boosting Roller
Essential Oils: doTERRA On Guard (could substitute Cinnamon), Frankincence, Lemon, Oregano and Tea Tree Oil.
My family and I stay healthy throughout the year by rolling this blend down our spines almost every day. Read the full description on how to make this roller HERE.
Achy Head Blend
Essential Oils: doTERRA Deep Blue Blend, Lavender, Frankincense and Peppermint.
This is a must for me. I used to get headaches every day but they have settled down since I changed my lifestyle. You can read all about this blend and how to relieve a headache naturally here.
Tummy Tamer Roller
Essential Oils: doTERRA Digestzen (could substitute Peppermint or Ginger), Frankincense and Wild Orange
We have tummy aches A LOT in my house. This roller is amazing for taming the tummy and relieving nausea. Read up on how to get rid of the stomach bug quickly.
Kick Those Anxious Feelings Blend
Essential Oils: doTERRA Balance, Copaiba and Wild Orange
This is my daily jam. A little bit behind the ears, on the wrists and on the back of neck helps reduce anxious feelings. I actually don’t dilute this one as much as the others because Balance already has fractionated coconut oil in it.
Calm Mommy Blend
Essential Oils: Bergamot, Frankincense and Lavender.
Another one I use on the regular! I love this blend of essential oils and if it’s that time of the month I’ll add a little Clary Sage to really calm me down! I tend to go heavy on the Bergamot for this blend (just because I love it so much) but you can do equal parts of each essential oil. Play around with it and see what you like!
Breathe Easy Blend
Essential Oils: doTERRA Breathe blend (could substitute Peppermint + Lemon + Tea Tree) and Frankincense.
Between allergy and sinus issues we rely on this blend A LOT. It’s great for stuffy and runny noses and sooo good to apply to your chest at night before bed for extra clear breathing while you sleep (or for certain snorers in the house!) These are great suggestions. I love making roller bottles. DigestZen is definitely one of my favorite for digestive. And I’m addicted to diffusing lemongrass and citrus scents right now as I try to imagine spring coming soon!
